Beside payroll · never instead

A payslip wallet. Not another pay run.

KeepClear holds the slip, the hours artefact and a plain-language note on a deduction — for current staff, casuals, depot crews and former employees. TechnologyOne, Aurion and Chris21 still calculate pay. We do not own STP or Single Touch Payroll. Payday Super went live on 1 July 2026. That stays in the payroll engine.

Fair Work, one working day

Fair Work Act 2009 s 536: a pay slip to each employee within one working day of paying them. Regulations require ABN, gross and net, loadings, penalties, super. Inspectors may issue infringement notices for missing or late slips. ESS portals assume a stable indoor user with a login. Waste, aged-care and kinder casuals fall out.

Former staff still need the file

When an underpayment runs for years, payroll has to find people who left the ERP. A staff-held archive — seven years, current and former — is the artefact, not a new overtime engine.

On the public record

Stonnington’s overtime repay is a payslip-module problem

City of Stonnington will repay about $600,000 to current and former staff for overtime paid incorrectly since April 2019. CEO Dale Dickson said council “identified and corrected a payroll error.” KeepClear is not the calculator that failed. It is the wallet that would have shown hours, penalty rates and what was paid — including to people who have left.

Inside Local Government · 16 July 2026

In the wallet

  • Ingested payslip PDFs or structured slips from the ERP
  • Hours and penalty artefacts next to the slip
  • A note on why a line was docked (without calculating the dock)
  • Access for former employees after the ERP login dies

Not in KeepClear

  • Award interpretation or overtime engines (nimbus, elementTIME, the ERP)
  • STP, Payday Super, super guarantee calculations
  • EA bargaining or industrial-action math
  • A second privileged payroll login (VAGO keeps finding access-control gaps)

Rate cap 2.75%

This is the cheap control, not the transformation.

Wyndham’s IBAC-referred IT blowout is why we never sell another ERP. Melton is already live on TechnologyOne SaaS+. Coastal Connect shares people modules across three councils. KeepClear sits beside those go-lives as a monthly add-on — ingest the slip, give it back to the worker, keep it for seven years.
