Organisation on record · Worker Screening Unit

Seeing the card is not enough. The council must be on the file.

Victorian organisations must check Working with Children status before the worker starts. The worker must list the organisation so the Worker Screening Unit can notify on change or cancellation. A hire-day photocopy does not put the council on that file. KeepClear reminds when the organisation is missing, and holds overnight status beside the ERP.

Shared ERP One Coastal Connect OneCouncil still means three ABNs. Three WWCC employer files — Warrnambool, Moyne, Corangamite each listed.
Do not start No flag when an interim bar lands after hire day. Organisation link is what makes WSU notification reach the desk.

Coastal Connect shared OneCouncil (August 2026) is the pattern: shared ERP, separate employer clearances. Detail on Shared services.

Listing the organisation is part of the duty.

What organisations need to know

Organisations must check status before the worker starts. Seeing the card is not enough; the worker must list the organisation so the Worker Screening Unit can notify on change or cancellation.

Legal obligations for organisations

Do not allow work on interim exclusion, exclusion, interim bar or suspension. Paid child-related workers need Employee, not Volunteer. Know when workers’ and volunteers’ clearances expire.

Coastal Connect still means three files

Warrnambool, Moyne and Corangamite share OneCouncil (August 2026). Three ABNs still each hold WWCC employer records. A shared ERP does not collapse organisation-on-record into one listing.

Hire-day checkbox is not ongoing clearance

Every LGA site in the research sample treats WWCC as a hire-day or volunteer-intake checkbox. None publishes an organisation-on-record reminder for existing workers.
